Cue stack: common questions

Tap a cue to expand it.

Q 01The Photo Palette screen shows no colors after I take a photo.

Check that Beilume Glow has camera and photo access in your device settings. If access was denied once, the app cannot ask again until you re-enable it there. Very dark or blurry photos also extract poorly; try steadier light and a closer crop.

Q 02How do I add a color by exact value?

Open a scene, tap Add Cue, and switch the picker between Hex, RGB, and HSL. Hex accepts values like #2FD35F; RGB and HSL fields accept whole numbers. You can also tap Source from Photo to pull the cue from a palette you extracted.

Q 03What does the luminance number mean?

It is the relative luminance of the color, from 0 (black) to 100 (white), computed from its RGB values. Use it to compare how bright two cues will feel next to each other. It is not a measurement of real-world light output.

Q 04My scheduled scene did not run.

Schedules run on your device's clock and need the app to be allowed to run in the background. Check that Low Power or Battery Saver mode is off, that notifications are allowed if you rely on reminders, and that the time zone on the device is correct. Reopen Schedule to confirm the time saved.

Q 05Can I edit a scene after saving it?

Yes. Open the gallery, pick the scene, and choose Open in Studio to fine-tune colors, or edit cues and the note directly and save again. Changes overwrite the saved version.

Q 06Where is my data stored? Is there a cloud backup?

Everything stays on your device; there is no account or cloud sync from us. Your operating system's own backup may include the app's data. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Q 07I tapped Reset Everything. Can I undo it?

No. Reset Everything permanently deletes all rooms, scenes, palettes, notes, and schedules. If you had a device backup from before the reset, restoring that backup is the only way to get the data back.

Q 08Does the app control my smart bulbs?

Beilume Glow is a planning studio for color and light. It does not currently pair with lighting hardware. Use the hex or RGB values from your cues in your bulb manufacturer's app.
